Play to Grow was created by pediatric physical therapist and mom, Christine Force. As a parent and a professional who works with young children, Christine observed a need for programming that is supported by evidence, developmentally appropriate, and encourages all children to thrive.
With seven years experience working exclusively with children, Christine is passionate about child development and whole-child learning through play. She has expanded her practice beyond just the physical benefits of movement, developing programs that grow children's mind, body, and spirit.
Christine earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy from University of Maryland at Baltimore in 2010. She has worked with children from 0 to 21 through Easter Seals of Southeastern PA, Baltimore City Public Schools, and Montgomery County Public Schools. She has completed training in Yoga & Mindfulness for Children and Yoga for Babies & Toddlers with Childlight of Dover, NH and Aerial Yoga & Mindfulness Level 1 training at Yogapeutics of Austin, TX. She received outdoor program training with TimberNook* of Barrington, NH. Christine enjoys gardening, arts and crafts, hiking, horseback riding, and reading. She lives with her husband and son in Gaithersburg, MD.
*Christine has completed training with Timbernook, LLC but is no longer a licensed provider of TimberNook curriculums. All camps and programs are designed by Play to Grow to best serve our diverse community and unique setting.
